Ah. Galeries Lafayette. Reminds me a bit of the Ferry Building in SF, right? Am I thinking of the right place? GREG
Greg: You must be thinking of something else. This is a real swanky dept. store with a huge dome. It's kind of like a Harrods with a big gourmet food section.
Very nice! Love spice markets.
Hi Adair,I loved this part of Galleries Lafayette and have to admit I bought a few bags of spices while we were there!!
Nancy: Am so glad you got to go there!
I was at the Galeries Lafayette a while back and was overwhelmed by all the choices; for some reason this store really stresses me out; I missed the spices though!I much prefer the Bon Marché, have you been?
Joumana: I walked by Bon Marché and it was closed, so I missed out! I used to like to eat at the Monoprix dept. store. Do you remember that?
You're bringing back good memories for many. Gorgeous place and good finds.
Lovely post, thanks for posting.
